Use a third-party add-on for dark mode as the chat embed can't be altered directly except for it's size, I've tried.
Finally, BetterTTV, FFZ and 7TV can't read or change data outside of TwitchTV itself, so unless they decide to,
  you'll have to pop-out the main chat room or use another third-party service to make up for this.
